Everyone is all a-buzz about this record and Mr. West. It’s Kanye this and Kanye that. So my expectations were high for this record. I listened, and thought to myself…’eh.’ It is pretty good. The singles “Heard ‘em Say” and “Golddigger” are pretty much brilliant, (the later could use a LOT less Jamie Foxx in it) but the rest just didn’t do it for me. I admit, I didn’t get to hear the whole album. So I gave it the benefit of the doubt with a 7. I will say this…put this record up against just about any other hip-hop album out today, and Late Registration looks like the Mona Lisa.
I thought Death Cab for Cutie was supposed to be this great Indie Rock band. Either that, or I listened to the wrong album. This was definitely the best Folk album of 2005.

This record is practically perfect in every way. It even made me swoon. Swoon!

Death Cab for Cutie – Plans

This record is like a breath of fresh air. A very loud breath of fresh air.
