It’s a widely known fact that Santa Claus won’t go to any kids houses where their rooms are messy. And as you can tell by the picture above, we’ve got a messy room. And if things don’t change, Mr. Claus will be flying right past our house on Christmas Eve. I hope that doesn’t happen. I hope that our fine children will take this bull by it’s horns and help get things ready for Santa’s big visit.
While we’re at it, we’ve got to get rid of lots of things that don’t get played with anymore. We’ve got to give somebody else a chance to play with them.
I know that it’s not always fun to clean up. And this room is particularly messy. But it’s a job that must be done. And it’s going to be done this coming Saturday. Whether the kids actually help or not, it’s going to get done. Of course, if we have to do it without the kids, we get to decide which toys get tossed out. And if you ask me, the easiest way would be to toss them all out. I know, I know, I couldn’t do that. But it would sure make the task a lot less cumbersome.
So, Saturday is the day. And believe it or not, I’m kind of looking forward to it. It’s always good to have a nice clean house before the big Holiday.
