Written by Ah… The Christmas vacation. It’s on the way. It’s like an island oasis in the middle of a long year of work. You see, I work at a school, and the schools around here give the kids and staff almost two weeks off. And here’s the best part. I get paid for those days off! It’s like a paid vacation every year. And that’s in addition to the 10 vacation days they already give me each year. So I have more to look forward than just a couple days off for Christmas. It’s nice. And while most others count down shopping days ’til Christmas, I count down work days. And right now, I’ve only got 8 left to go. For me, Christmas starts on the 22nd. I just hope the kids let me sleep in on a couple of those days.
